Swiss Field Match in Brabant, the Netherlands
2024 dates
Saturday November 23 and Sunday November 24
Ever since 1991, the board and members of the Pistol and Rifle Club SV Gilze-Rijen have been organizing the Swiss Field Shooting competition, with enormous success.
This competition is based on a competition that has existed since 1899, in which the Swiss demonstrate en masse the proficiency with their personal weapons.
This competition is open to shooters with weapons issued to the military and police as general armaments.
Sports weapons, converted weapons as well as weapons with optical aiming devices are NOT allowed.
Some general information
You can register for one pistol match and/or one rifle match. Shooting multiple matches will only be possible after talking to the committee on the day of your original match. The costs for any additional match is € 16.00, excluding the costs of a loaner weapon with ammunition.. Please note, only your first pistol match and/or rifle match will count towards the competition, not your highest score.
You can register multiple shooters in one order. More about this below.
Registration fees must be payed online online either with iDeal, or your countries version of iDeal. We chose this form of payment because it will save us a lot of administrative work. We have activated the following options for the online payment system:
iDEAL, Bancontact, Giropay, KBC/CBC, Belfius, Sofort Banking
If your option for online payments is not listed, please let us know in an email to info@zwitersveldschieten.nl. If it is offered by our provider, we can see whether we will activate it. For some options, high costs are charged by either out provider, the bank or the credit card company. Should we decide to offer these options, the extra charges will be added to the order.
I want to register
To register for a match you no longer need to be registered on the website.
You can register for a Match by clicking on ‘Book a match’ in the menu at the top of the page. This will then let you choose either ‘Pistol Match Saturday’, ‘Pistol Match Sunday’, ‘Rifle Match Saturday’ or ‘Rifle Match Sunday’. Hoovering over any of the options on these pages will let you add the desired timeslot to your ‘Basket’.
Error
You can also click on your desired timeslot. This will open the page of that time slot with some general information. Due to a error on the website this, however, will take you to the Dutch side of the website. We are working hard on fixing this problem but it is not an easy fix and it doesn’t interfere with the order process. To get back to your language of choice just click one of the menu items left of the ‘language switcher’. Now the ‘language switcher is activated again and you can complete your order.
Registering for both pistol- and rifle match
If you want to shoot both matches (pistol and rifle), repeat the process. If you would like to use one of our firearms, you’ll find them once you click ‘Your Shopping Cart’ in the menu. It will show the the apropriate firearms for your chosen matches and time slots. Please note, we have two rifles and four pistols on offer per timeslot. If you have chosen a timeslot where other shooters have already reserved the available weapons, you will have to choose a different timeslot.
Factory ammunition will be supplied with our firearms. You may only use this ammunition in our pistols/rifles. Please make sure you have your valid firearms permit with you at all times. If you do not have a valid firearms permit with you we can’t let you shoot any match. Your payment will not be refunded in this case.
Voucher
Registration fees for all matches are €16.00. If you shoot both the pistol and rifle match we’ll give you a € 5,00 discount. You can add a voucher in your ‘Shopping cart’. The discount code is DISCOUNT 2X. You’ll find reminders for the discount code in both the shopping cart and at the checkout. You can’t miss it.
How to pay
Once you have added all your matches and weapons, click on ‘Continue to checkout’ in the ‘Shopping cart’. After you have entered the requested information on this page, click on ‘Order and pay’. You will now arrive at the Mollie Payments payment page. Here you will follow the steps required to complete the payment. Your registration is now complete. You will receive several emails about your order/registration.
Registering multiple shooters
If you want to register for multiple shooters, you can add the desired competitions for all shooters to the shopping cart. You can add the voucher for every shooter who shoots the pistol and rifle competition.
The store program only allows one ‘customer’ per order. If you register for multiple shooters, we ask you to send us an email with the details of the other shooters: name, year of birth and the time each shooter shoots.
send your email to info@zwitsersveldschieten.nl
Using club weapons
If you do not have a suitable pistol or rifle for shooting the competition, you can use a loaner weapon from the club. You can find which firearms are eligible for shooting the competition in the “About the match” section, a little lower on this page.
We have four pistols and two rifles for you to choose from. If you want to use a pistol, you can choose from a SIG P210 or a CZ SP01 Shadow. The club rifle that you can use is a SIG PE90. Using a pistol from the club will cost you €10.00. This includes the 18 cartridges you need for the match. Using a rifle, including 18 cartridges, will cost you €13.00. We do not allow you to use your own ammunition in our weapons.
Before the match, all weapons are cleaned, fired and adjusted by one of the club’s shooters. We therefore ask you not to make any adjustments to the weapons yourself. In the first round of the pistol and rifle competitions, the use of a spotting scope is permitted. Use these shots to see how they come off.
Don’t have a spotting scope yourself? Ask the range officer, perhaps one from the club is available. There are no costs associated with the use of out spotting scope . If the club does not have one available at the time, one of the fellow shooters may be willing to let you use his.
If the match is cancelled
If, for whatever reason, the Match is canceled (the COVID-19 virus is not yet fully gone), your registration fees will of course be refunded. This also applies to foreign shooters if the match is on but you are not allowed to travel due to your government’s rules.
Change your registration
If you would like to change your registration, please send an email to info@zwitsersveldschieten.nl. If possible we’ll make the changes. If your desired timeslot is no longer available, we will find you another one. At no additional cost, of course.
